photographer's notes

Greg Stroube

The process was like photo-improvisation. We started with a room full of props and surfaces and made selections on the fly that would best compliment the food. I love working that way.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed shooting them.

During our primary imagery shoot, we captured a few additional images for social-media use, as we styled and shot each of the main visuals, yielding even more delectable content for them to use as needed.

Outline Shots Reinvigorated

Outlines can be fresh.

Our approach for the outline shots was to create a beautiful, simple, quick-read image of each item using bright, contrasting lighting, crisp shadows, and minimal propping. Shown collectively in a circular, they’ll have a very clean, contemporary, high quality appearance. This style can be produced very efficiently on a 2nd or 3rd set during shoot days.

From pre-production, through styling, shooting, and post-production, this was a fun project to bring to life... and the results have been outstanding.

until next time...

That's a wrap!
