We were tasked create a library of lifestyle images documenting the shaving process for Gillette.
First order of business was to decide wether to shoot on location or in studio. We decided to go the studio route so we could control every aspect, including the creepy shoot-through mirror to get the 1st person perspective. We built a light and open bathroom set, complete with warm running water and a steaming sink.
I felt really well-suited for this project, because if anyone knows razors, it’s the space in between my eyebrows. A great team effort on this, from set building, to a very happy hair/makeup artist, through retouching. A fun one indeed.
See the images we captured, process, sketches and behind the scenes below. Enjoy!
